Know the Big Data and its vital role for Indonesia

The term big data has begun to bloom discussed in Indonesia in recent years. Big Data itself is a very large data sets to be processed further for purposes of making decisions, predictions, or specific purposes.
Along with the rapid growth of internet penetration, the volume and variety of data received, big data has now become a reality. Therefore, MarkPlus collaborated with SAS Indonesia in its efforts to educate the business ecosystem of Indonesia concerning utilization of big data analytics.
A discussion also in the title of the event on July 31 yesterday, to share the vision and commitment in order to encourage the use of big data analytics strategy.
Big Data analytics is still a new thing in Indonesia, and many organizations are not considered big data analytics strategy well. As an ongoing commitment, SAS Indonesia also shared his vision of big data analytics and big data analytics four approaches according to SAS that can be applied by companies and organizations in Indonesia. The four approaches are reactive Business Intelligence, Data ReactiveBig BI, Big Proactive Analytics and Big Data Analytics Proactive.
Encourage the use of big data analytics strategy is the continuing commitment of the SAS in Indonesia. The commitment of SAS is also in line with the vision of MarkPlus Center for Technology and Creativity to facilitate and together form a technology-based business ecosystem in Indonesia.
Simply put big data is a collection of very large volumes of data that can not be addressed by traditional data processing applications. The definition of big data analytics itself according to SAS is the study process big data to find valuable information to help make better decisions. The growth of big data and its use, is a matter that is not inevitable, including in Indonesia. The amount of information or data stored by 2020 worldwide, is expected to increase 50-fold compared to 2012, which exceeded 2.8 zettabyte (equivalent to 2.8 trillion gigabytes).
Seeing the rapid growth of big data, many companies have realized the importance of implementing the strategy of big data analytics. Many of them believe that companies that do not adopt the strategy of big data analytics, in the year ahead, will be at risk of losing market share and the moment.
