Not only canned soft drinks, there are many other objects that accidentally sent into space. The goods are sent not for fun, but there is a reason.
Quoted from Astrobio.net, several flight missions have discovered its existence in space.
1. Abu
Who would have thought humans send ashes into space? Of course this one is gray ash unusual.
This story begins when an astronomer, Eugene Shoemaker wanted to go to the moon. Unfortunately, those dreams were dashed because she was diagnosed with a rare disease and died in 1997. After his body was cremated, his ashes was sent to the moon.

Not clear what the exact function of astronauts carry this one. However, a porn magazine is deliberately carried by one of the astronauts of Apollo 12.
The mission was launched in November 1969. Interestingly, the astronauts pornographic pictures cut from Playboy magazine and inserted in the guide book that looks like a flip book. In fact, this discovery became a joke in America.
3. Canned soft drinks
Obviously, these actions are taken for the purpose of product promotion. For this one fly cans, soft drinks companies in America have to spend USD 250,000. This fantastic costs to be incurred in order to protect the contents of the can when the beverage is a vacuum.
Do not stop there, the company also changed the formula of the soft drinks. This is done so that astronauts could drink these products easily when in outer space.
4. Toys
If counted, it turns out a lot of the number of toys that are in space. In 1993, STS-45 aircraft found 40 toys, while the STS-77 found 10 toys in 1996. This toy was deliberately taken to be tested in space. Usually, the astronauts record activity when playing in space for educational programs.
